Alexander Richmond is an Honors Political Science student at the University of Michigan focused on campus affairs, political accountability, and student governance. He has reported on free speech, DEI, protest rights, and reform efforts, with work appearing in outlets including The Globe and Mail, Campus Reform, The Michigan Daily, and the Detroit Free Press. As an elected representative, he co-authored the Wolverines’ Budget Act, resolving a prolonged funding shutdown for hundreds of student organizations. He serves as President of the University of Michigan College Republicans and Co-Chair of the Michigan Federation of College Republicans, leading organizing across nearly two dozen chapters. He has worked with leaders at every level, advised youth voter engagement efforts, and partnered with the American Conservation Coalition to promote pragmatic environmental policy.
