Conservative Politicians, Charlie Kirk, and Donald Trump Cower on Epstein

Reading Time: 2 minutes
Red presidential cap with visor flying over the White House in the United States. Cap of a Republican politician.

Charlie Kirk, Founder and President of Turning Point USA, led his followers into Trump’s orbit under one huge assumption: Trump would bring transparency.

Trump is, according to Kirk, a politician of the people. Unlike the “woke”, “leftist” politicians who have endless skeletons in their closets, Trump was supposed to be clean. He might be out there, but at least it’s all out there.

And it seems like Kirk believed this, truly. After all, on August 10, 2019, Kirk tweeted, “RT if you believe @realDonaldTrump should order a FULL INVESTIGATION into Epstein’s illegal sexual trafficking from the 30 years and get answers!”

He had faith that the President would want the truth because who wouldn’t want the truth when it comes to the convicted sex trafficker, Jeffrey Epstein, whose victims are as young as 14? Who wouldn’t want the truth?

And Then Came the Cowardice

Apparently, Kirk doesn’t want the truth anymore.

The huge switchup? Kirk is now “done” talking about Epstein. Speaking on his podcast, he said he is over it.

Not only is Kirk backing down against the truth, so are nearly all House Republicans. Politicians who spoke about the atrocities committed by Jeffrey Epstein, politicians who put out lofty, emotional statements for his victims…those politicians, suddenly, seem to think the release of the Epstein Files is no longer relevant or important.

And yes, of course the Epstein Files have become hyper-politicized. Is it controlling the narrative now for Democrats, rather than politics? Might Democrats be clinging onto anything to get Trump out? Surely! Absolutely!

But that’s not what matters.

If Trump is connected to Epstein’s sex-trafficking network and complicit in any way, don’t Americans have the right to know? Don’t we deserve the truth?

While politicians and political activists cower, the people are increasingly concerned. And the people will hold these elected officials–and political activists like Kirk–accountable for their lack of integrity.
