On January 20th of 2025, the Democrats looked on in defeat as their biggest nemesis took the oath of office and assumed his place as the duly elected leader of the free world. During President Donald Trump’s first administration, which began in January 2017, the Democrats and their liberal media allies had a lot of sticks to beat him.
“He’s a racist.” “He’s a Russian Spy.” “What a misogynist!!!” These are just some of the wild accusations made against Trump during his tenure. And with these accusations, they managed to rally enough support from the base and amongst independents so much so that they were able to impeach him at the first chance they got.
After Trump left office, their attacks did not stop. The president faced four different indictments. These indictments, which many have rightly termed a “witch hunt” and described as politically motivated, would later become the Democrats biggest self-harm heading into the 2024 November elections. The majority of Americans saw through the lies and elected Trump in a landslide victory in November.
So, as Trump took office in January and with the Democrats watching and wondering how they managed to lose the support of Americans, the question became: “What next for the Democrat Party?”
You would be forgiven for thinking the party would return to its drawing board and draw up policies to help them win back the American people. Well, they did and their best idea was to go after Trump. Again!!! And this time, their weapon of choice is the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)
President Donald’s Trump USAID Executive Order
Hours after taking office on January 20, President Trump ordered a 90-day pause in foreign development assistance. The president stated that the pause was necessary to assess whether the assistance was efficient and consistent with his policies. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is primarily responsible for administering civilian foreign aid and development assistance, and as such, USAID is a very critical agency to American foreign policy and those poor nations it assists.
Days after Trump’s executive order, Elon Musk announced that the president had agreed that the agency should be shut down. Musk, who is leading Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), promptly instructed USAID Staffers to stay out of the agency’s Washington headquarters.
So why would Trump pause the agency’s spending? That is because everything is not as they seem and sometimes, bad actions are sometimes born out of the purest of intentions. The Democrats know this too well, but since they have largely benefited from USAID’s bad actions, they have chosen to turn a blind eye.
It became apparent that it's not an apple with a worm in it. What we have is just a ball of worms. You’ve got to basically get rid of the whole thing. It’s beyond repair. We’re shutting it down.
Elon Musk Tweet
Democrats Take to the Street in Defense of USAID
Following Musk’s announcement, Democrats resorted to cheap emotional blackmail of the American people while ignoring the truth which is the corruption and lack of accountability of the USAID. A group of Democrat lawmakers led angry protests outside of USAID’s headquarters.
Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) was very vocal during this protest and he vowed to lead the fight against the president’s efforts to reform USAID and save the American taxpayers billions.
“We’re here today, not only to fight for federal employees who dedicate themselves every day to a humanitarian task. We are here to save lives, because that is what USAID does,” Connolly said. “We are going to fight in every way we can in the courts, in public opinion, with the bully pulpit, in the halls of Congress, and here at USAID itself. We are not going to let this injustice happen.”
Reps. Jamie Raskin, Johnny Olszewski and Sarah Elfreth of Maryland, alongside Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, were also at the protest. Reps. Jim McGovern of Massachusetts and Yassamin Ansari of Arizona also came to show “their virtue” at the protest.
“This is a brazen attempt by a billionaire who nobody voted for, to illegally and unconstitutionally steal from taxpayers so he can give himself a tax break,” McGovern falsely claimed.
How brave and gallant of Connolly and his Democrat colleagues. Fighting the righteous fight. If only it were that straightforward. If only Connolly and his Democrat colleagues were that passionate about the truth and fighting for everyday Americans. In Omar’s defense, she has stated that her priorities are elsewhere. Her actions haven’t shown otherwise in recent times.
The Truth About USAID That Democrats Don’t Want You To Know
For many average Americans, USAID is an American agency that fights diseases, sickness, poverty, hunger and illiteracy across poor nations. President John F. Kennedy established the agency in 1961. At the time, Kennedy’s intentions were for the agency to provide American skills, capital, and food to assist people from less-developed nations. Fast forward to 60 years and the agency has strayed from those noble goals.
The truth is, aside from being a wasteful agency with a $50 billion annual budget, USAID is a partisan organization that uses the American taxpayers’ money against the American people… and a sitting president.
The agency, tasked with providing foreign aid, is also in the business of using taxpayers’ money to further liberal goals abroad and advance the Democrat Party’s political agenda at home and abroad.
USAID is a partisan organization that uses the American taxpayers’ money against the American people… and a sitting president.
How The USAID Turned Against The American People’s Free Speech
One of the heaviest criticisms former President Joe Biden’s presidency faced was the administration’s constant push for censorship. Under the Biden administration, USAID, through its heavily funded Bureau for Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance (DRG), compiled a 100-page document titled “disinformation primer.” This document, which outlined ways to fight so-called disinformation, was offered to social media platforms and news outlets in a bid to censor Americans.
When social media platforms refuse to bow to the pressure and instead choose to protect the freedom of speech, USAID’s primer has a solution for that. Cut off advertising! USAID, through its “advertiser outreach” strategy, would threaten advertisers by pointing out the potential damage to their brands if they partnered with non-conforming social media platforms and outlets.
Foreign governments and partners have also been coerced, with USAID’s funding, to pressure social media platforms for greater censorship. A case in point was the investigations and criticism Musk faced from the EU’s censorship czars after he pulled X out of the EU Code of Practice on Disinformation.
According to Mike Benz, the executive director of the Foundation for Freedom Online, the code is a voluntary agreement for platforms to censor speech. According to Benz, USAID and the Consortium for Political Process Strengthening (CEPPS) both use the EU code as a censorship guidebook.

USAID also spends millions of American tax dollars pursuing censorship on foreign soil. In Brazil, for example, several USAID-funded groups got money through CEPPS. They worked with the Superior Election Court (TSE) on “counter-disinformation” efforts. The TSE, known for opposing Bolsonaro and populism, ordered platforms to censor pro-Bolsonaro views. When Elon Musk refused to follow their rules, the Brazilian government banned his social media platform, X.
Your Tax Money Is USAID’s Liberal Agenda Weapon
The previous administration pushed the left-wing agenda more aggressively than any other administration before it, and one agency that aided that goal the most was USAID. The agency, according to records, spent millions of dollars under the Biden administration pushing Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), drag shows and LGBTQ+ agenda.
When USAID discovered that the Peruvian people are suffering from a lack of transgender representation, it went in to save the day by granting tens of thousands of American taxpayer dollars to create a comic book featuring an LGBTQ+ hero. An Ecuadorian organization also got thousands of dollars when USAID determined that the nation was short on drag show events.
The people of Serbia were not all that welcoming to the homosexual community in their workplace so USAID gave them over a million dollars of American taxpayer money to rectify that problem.
Additional programs include a $2 million grant for sex-change procedures in Guatemala, $500,000 to promote LGBT inclusion in Serbian workplaces and $70,000 for a DEI-themed musical in Ireland. The agency also funded transgender clinics in Vietnam and India, provided $46,000 for HIV care for transgender South Africans, and gave $1.5 million to encourage South African children to “learn through play.” Thousands of dollars were also allocated for LGBT-related events in Bulgaria.
Parker Thayer, an expert researcher on federal spending, highlighted how USAID’s grant on left-wing agenda skyrocketed under the previous administration.
“It’s probably one out of every three grants is totally insane left-wing nonsense … USAID has always been somewhat left, but when the Biden administration started, you can clearly see a huge uptick in spending,” Thayer told the Daily Caller “The amount of lunatic, fringe grants goes up dramatically.”
According to Elon Musk-led DOGE, USAID approved a $45 million dollar DEI scholarship in Burma. The agency also spent an additional $520 million pushing the left-wing climate agenda in Africa.

In another shocking revelation, DOGE announced in January that it canceled several DEI contracts from over 20 federal departments and agencies. The canceled contracts were worth over $1 billion with USAID accounting for $230 million of that figure.

According to a 2022 Fox News report, USAID gave the Media Empowerment for a Democratic Sri Lanka (MEND) a total of $7,906,904. The money was earmarked for advancing media ethics in Sri Lanka. Instead, the USAID-funded MEND embarked on an extensive campaign that teaches journalists to actively state their gender pronouns and to avoid “binary-gendered language.”
“Gender is a social, psychological, and cultural construct. It is developed in the process of socialization,” MEND wrote in one of its presentations to the Sri Lanka journalists. “Gender is not necessarily defined by biological sex: gender is more about identity, and how we feel about ourselves. People that do not exclusively identify as male or female are often grouped under the umbrella terms, ‘non-binary, or ‘genderqueer,’ but the range of gender identifications is unlimited.”
Other left-wing goals USAID spends the American people’s tax money on include nearly $20 million to promote inclusion in Vietnam, $5 million to EcoHealth Alliance and $2 million to promote LGBT equality through entrepreneurship in Latin America. Uganda also got $5.5 million for LGBT while the agency also outlined a $150 billion whole-of-agency approach to building an equitable world with net-zero greenhouse gas emissions.
Sen. Jim Banks noted in a letter to Marco Rubio that there were instances where USAID withheld assistance from poor nations to force them to adopt pro-abortion legislation.
USAID did not only support these leftist agendas all over the world, the agency worked actively to make them a core part of the United States foreign policy. As former USAID Administrator Samantha Power put it in 2015, the goal is “working LGBT rights into the DNA of our foreign policy.” According to Mark Moyar, a USAID whistleblower who worked in the department from 2018 to 2019, “Power’s emphasis on DEI was part of a larger Biden administration effort to infuse DEI into every federal agency.”
Why The Media All Seemed To Be Saying The Same Thing
Have you ever wondered why the mainstream media all seemed to be saying the same thing? Sometimes you watch or read the news and they all have similar headlines.
For example, when USAID’s Washington headquarters was closed, CNN had the headline: What “USAID does, and why Trump and Musk want to get rid of it.” NBC followed with “What is USAID? How it works and what could happen if Trump and Musk shut it down.” Coincidence? Maybe, but wait till you see more. BBC went with “What is USAID and why is Trump poised to ‘close it down’?” AP’s headline reads “What USAID does, and why Trump and Musk want to get rid of it.”
The New York Times went with “What Is U.S.A.I.D., and Why Do Trump and Musk Want to Close It?” Many other liberal mainstream media had similar headlines and were published within hours of each other. It’s like someone behind the scenes gave them a matching order along with the headlines. Who is that mystery person? No one knows, but recent revelations have shed light on why they all had similar headlines.
Elon Musk’s DOGE revealed earlier in February that many of the mainstream media outlets are funded by USAID. The BBC, for instance, received $3.2 million from USAID, an amount that accounts for around 10% of the BBC’s total income in 2023-24. The last time anyone checked, there were no hungry children at the BBC’s headquarters.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt revealed during a packed press conference that Politico received around $8 million from USAID. Politico, as one will expect from the leftist media these days, claimed disinformation and that the payment was for subscriptions. That is a lot of subscriptions!!! The Trump administration canceled the payment immediately and a few days later, Politico—for the first time in its existence—missed a pay period for its employees.
🚨 This is the biggest scandal in news media history:
— Benny Johnson (@bennyjohnson) February 5, 2025
No employee at Politico got paid yesterday. First time ever the company missed a pay period. This is a crisis.
Now we learn Politico — a “news company” — which spent the last 10 years trying to destroy the MAGA Movement was… pic.twitter.com/DwHqEp6gjp
Other outlets, such as the AP and The New York Times, also received substantial amounts of Taxpayer money from USAID.
As soon as news broke on how USAID has been bankrolling the legacy media, several outlets including Politico, CNN, and The New York Times, labeled the revelation a conspiracy, with many of them providing eye-raising explanations for the payments.

The Move to Unseat A Sitting US President
It is no news that the U.S. government agencies, especially the CIA, have been involved in regime changes all around the world. How shocking would it be if you knew those agencies turned around and used those tactics on the American government in a bid to instigate a regime change? Many will point to the Kennedy assassination, but how about recently?
When Trump took office in 2016, the Democrats and their media allies were hell-bent on impeaching him. The ambers from Hilary Clinton’s burnt-down race were not even out when the whispers of impeachment began. On January 20, 2017, the day Trump took office for the first time, the New York Times—which we now know is on USAID’s payroll— ran a headline titled: “The campaign to impeach President Trump has begun.” That campaign would later yield fruit in 2019 when House Democrats got their impeachment wish. The USAID, for its role, literally bankrolled the impeachment effort.
Trump’s first impeachment was triggered after a White House whistleblower claimed he abused his powers by withholding military aid to Ukraine to dig up dirt on former President Joe Biden. The whistleblower, a CIA analyst who was first brought into the White House by the Obama administration, claimed to have heard from another White House staff that Trump directed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to work with his attorney, Rudy Giuliani, to investigate Biden and his son Hunter Biden.
To back up his claims, the whistleblower heavily relied on reports made by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP). The OCCRP is an “independent” investigative news organization. According to Michael Shellenberger, the whistleblower cited the OCCRP report four times in his allegation against Trump. Shellenberger insists the OCCRP is effectively operating as an arm of USAID. Officials from the agency have confirmed that USAID approves OCCRP’s annual work plan and approves new hires of key personnel.
According to Shellenberger, U.S. journalist Drew Sullivan once told German TV network NDR that OCCRP had probably been involved in regime changes in at least five countries. The organization has also been involved with getting prime ministers indicted or thrown out. Sullivan is co-founder and head of the OCCRP.
USAID's defenders say it's about charity and development in poor nations. It's not. It's a $40 billion driver of regime change abroad. And now the evidence suggests that it, along with the CIA, were behind the 2019 impeachment of Trump — an illegal regime change effort at home. pic.twitter.com/6HxUPiVpFX
— Michael Shellenberger (@shellenberger) February 5, 2025
“As such, it appears that CIA, USAID, and OCCRP were all involved in the impeachment of President Trump in ways similar to the regime change operations that all three organizations engage in abroad,” Shellenberger said. “The difference is that it is highly illegal and even treasonous for CIA, USAID, and its contractors and intermediaries, known as ‘cut-outs,’ to interfere in U.S. politics this way.”
Ordinarily, Trump’s call with Zelenskyy is unproblematic and as perfect as the president described it at the time. However, adding the OCCRP reports weaponized the call for House Democrats.

USAID The Gift That Keeps On Giving… To Terror Organizations
Hundreds of brave American servicemen and women have died since the war on terror began. Nothing and no charitable entity has spit in the face of their sacrifice like USAID. The agency has used Taxpayer dollars to fund the same terrorism these brave men and women died fighting.
According to Republican Sen. Joni Erst, more than $9 million of USAID’s “humanitarian aid” intended to feed civilians in Syria ended up in the hands of violent terrorists, including an affiliate of Al Qaeda in Iraq. A prime example is the story of Mahmoud Al Hafyan.
Hafyan ran the Syrian division of an NGO. During that time, his organization received millions of dollars worth of meals from USAID. Hafyan would later send around $10 million of those meals to members of the Nusra Front, an al Qaeda-linked terrorist organization, according to his indictment. U.S. authorities described this incident as a shocking abuse of U.S. taxpayers’ generosity.
According to the White House, USAID also spent hundreds of millions of dollars to fund “irrigation canals, farming equipment, and fertilizer. These projects were used to support the unprecedented poppy cultivation and heroin production in Afghanistan that largely benefits the Taliban.
Reports on Fox News also showed that $125,000 in USAID funds ended up with the Islamic Relief Agency (ISRA) in 2015. That is after the U.S. Treasury labeled the group a global terrorist group in 2004 for its links to Osama bin Laden.
When savage Hamas fighters attacked Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, the Jewish nation retaliated, causing massive devastation that led to a humanitarian crisis. In response, USAID released millions for humanitarian assistance in Palestine. Much of the aid for Palestinian causes ended up with Hamas. This includes a $75 million payment made in October 2024 to the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in October 2024. A UN spokesperson said UNRWA staff likely took part in the October 7 attack. Because of this, a May 2024 directive banned USAID from giving money to UNRWA.
Rep. Scott Perry, during a Congressional hearing, revealed that USAID spends around $697 million annually that ends up in the hands of terrorist groups like ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, ISIS Khorasan and terrorist training camps.
If America’s enemies were asked to design a foreign aid program that undermines the US at maximum cost to the Taxpayer, they’d be hard pressed to create a scheme more effective than USAID. pic.twitter.com/EjACP5aah6

USAID: A Disruption To US Foreign Policy
USAID was supposed to be the carrot of the United State’s foreign policy. What this means is that when the federal government uses its other instruments of foreign policy like military actions and economic sanctions, the USAID comes in as a friendly and charitable instrument to foreign nations. That has not been the case.
The agency, with its funding of various liberal goals such as transgenderism and the furtherance of the LGTBQ+ community on foreign soil, turned foreign governments against the United States Diplomats in their respective countries.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who assumed control over USAID following Trump’s executive order, insisted that the agency’s goals only served to frustrate the efforts of American diplomats.
“One of the most common complaints you will get if you go to embassies around the world — from State Department officials and ambassadors and the like — is that USAID is not only not cooperative; they undermine the work that we’re doing in that country. They are supporting programs that upset the host government for whom we’re trying to work with on a broader scale,” Rubio said.
Various reports also showed that USAID spends tax dollars funding opposition parties and media outlets who then work actively against their government’s interest. When news of Trump’s executive order broke, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán reacted with glee on X, stating: “I think the world owes a debt of gratitude to President @realDonaldTrump for uncovering and putting an end to this dark conspiracy.”
You see, USAID has been spending millions of tax dollars in Orbán’s country, funneling millions of dollars to the Hungarian opposition and its affiliated media ahead of the 2022 parliamentary elections.
According to Hungarian Conservative, USAID distributed grants to outlets that were critical of the government, ensuring a biased and coordinated media front.
“The outcome is striking: a well-coordinated media network singing in unison, opposing national sovereignty, traditional values, and pragmatic policy-making, while embracing global governance, radical gender ideology, and woke propaganda,” the outlet wrote.
El Salvador’s president Nayib Bukele was also overjoyed after Trump issued the USAID executive order. Bukele, in 2021, accused the agency of using Taxpayer money to fund communist movements against his government. Following Trump’s order in January, Bukele revealed that the lion’s share of the agency’s funds goes into opposition groups, NGOs with political agendas, and destabilizing movements.
Bukele maintained that many governments don’t even want USAID funds flowing into their countries because they understand where much of that money ends up.
“At best, maybe 10% of the money reaches real projects that help people in need (there are such cases), but the rest is used to fuel dissent, finance protests, and undermine administrations that refuse to align with the globalist agenda,” Bukele wrote in an X post.
Most governments don’t want USAID funds flowing into their countries because they understand where much of that money actually ends up.

While marketed as support for development, democracy, and human rights, the majority of these funds are funneled into opposition groups, NGOs… pic.twitter.com/bXpdK29zH5
If you want further proof of how USAID taxpayer money is being spent to work against America’s foreign policies, look no further than the wording of President Trump’s executive order suspending the agency’s ability to provide aid.
“The United States foreign aid industry and bureaucracy are not aligned with American interests and in many cases antithetical to American values,” the aid-freeze order reads. “They serve to destabilize world peace by promoting ideas in foreign countries that are directly inverse to harmonious and stable relations internal to and among countries.”
As Rep. Scott Perry put it in the Congressional hearing, “if America’s enemies were asked to design a foreign aid program that undermines the US at maximum cost to the Taxpayer, they’d be hard pressed to create a scheme more effective than USAID.”
A Massive Waste Burning Holes In Taxpayers’ Pockets
Trump, while campaigning for office, vowed to stem the bleeding that is government waste. One government agency that embodies that waste the most is USAID. The agency, in one instance, paid $2 million to fund LBTQ activism and sex changes in Guatemala. USAID also paid $2.5 million for electric vehicles in Vietnam and another $6 million for tourism in Egypt.
When the State Department warned against traveling to Lebanon due to crime, terrorism, civil unrest, kidnapping, unexploded landmines, and the risk of armed conflict, USAID spent $2 million promoting tourism to the country.
USAID sent 65.5 million condoms, 9.8 million injectable birth control products and 334,000 IUDs abroad in fiscal year 2022 as part of a broad effort to facilitate family planning.
$50M of condoms is a LOT of condoms 🤷♂️
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) February 12, 2025
pic.twitter.com/V2C7znndUB
Additionally, USAID spent roughly $102 million on “Democracy, Gender and Rights Programs” in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan up until April 2024. Agents were routinely arrested by the Taliban in their efforts, with the program being scrutinized under “the regime’s general directorate of intelligence,” according to the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction’s (SIGAR) quarterly report.
There are several instances of USAID contractors overcharging the agency. Chemonics, one of the agency’s contractors, was found to have charged as much as $270 million more than the actual cost of a project.
Other waste from the agency includes a $20 million payment for a new Sesame Street show in Iraq and another $4.5 million funding to combat disinformation in Kazakhstan.
American taxpayer dollars spent overseas should be spent wisely, and for the benefit of Americans.
— Tammy Bruce (@statedeptspox) January 29, 2025
The pause in foreign assistance has allowed the @StateDept to prevent unjustified and non-emergency spending.
Here's a few examples. 1/11 🧵
USAID: A Law Unto Itself, An Unaccountable Agency
Before the new sheriff came to town (That Sheriff being Trump), USAID was a law unto itself. Coupled with its massive waste, funding of terrorism, and participation in an attempted regime change on U.S. soil, USAID has resisted every attempt made by Congress to perform its oversight function.
During a Press conference in El Salvador, Marco Rubio revealed that USAID is a “completely unresponsive agency.” He noted that the agency is supposed to respond to policy directives of the State Department, but refuses to do so. According to Rubio, this has been a source of frustration for him, a frustration that started during his time in Congress. Rubio added that USAID has a penchant for ignoring American national interest and acting as if it is a law unto itself.

— CSPAN (@cspan) February 3, 2025
Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul said he contacted USAID for answers after allegations surfaced about the agency’s spending habit. The lawmaker was told in no uncertain terms that he would not be getting any answer.
“The response I got from your agency was: ‘USAID will not be providing any documents at this time.’ They’re just unwilling to give documents on scientific grant proposals — we’re paying for it, they’re asking for $745 million more in money. We get no response,” Paul said. “We’re not asking for classified information. We’re not asking for anything unusual. 20 million people died around the world … and you won’t give us the basic information about what grants you’re funding — should we be funding the Academy of Military Medical Research in China?”
Sen. Joni Ernst told the Daily Mail in February that USAID threatened to bring legal actions against her if she didn’t end her oversight attempt.
“They said, ‘No, you can’t look at it. You’re not going to look at these contracts. You don’t need access to it, so we’re not going to let you see it,’” Ernst said. “They even responded back with a letter that was basically threatening us by saying, ‘Well, if we allow you access to this information, it gets into the wrong hands, we can sue you.’”
The Republican lawmaker insisted that USAID was trying to scare her away from performing her oversight function. All she wanted to know was how much the agency spends on administrative costs versus aid. And why wouldn’t the American people want to know this, given that the agency’s staff are worth millions when their salaries are between $150,000 to $200,000 per year?
The agency’s lack of transparency is second to the CIA’s, even though it is supposed to be the charity arm of U.S. foreign policy. When Mahmoud Al Hafyan sent $10 million worth of food aid to terrorists, USAID refused to name the NGO Hafyan represents.
When Joe Biden refused to call for a ceasefire in Gaza, 1,000 USAID officials issued an open letter defying Biden’s Israel policy by demanding an immediate ceasefire between the State of Israel and Hamas. The ceasefire would have given the terrorists an opportunity to regroup and kill more Israelis.
Even when the agency put on a show of transparency, a USAID Inspector General report found that the agency’s mission results were often inaccurate. USAID, run by bureaucrats with agendas who believed they answered to nobody, has been unaccountable for decades.
The defiance, the lack of accountability and transparency, and acting as a law unto itself would have continued if the new sheriff in town had not taken office in January. A new sheriff that is not the previous flailing, outright corrupt, and demented sheriff who didnt even survive his first presidential debate in 2024. A new sheriff that would not tolerate such defiant nonsense and waste of the American taxpayer money.
Why Are The Democrats Defending USAID? It Is Anyone’s Guess
At this point, the question is, why are Democrats picking this fight against President Trump? Why is the party that impeached Trump on obstruction charges for rightly asserting executive privileges tolerating such defiance of congressional oversight from USAID? Suddenly, the party that sent Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro to jail for not responding to Congress is now defending an agency that threatened to sue a sitting Senator for performing her oversight duties. Could it be hypocrisy?
What about the waste? Why are the Democrats ignoring USAID’s waste? Maybe it’s because the party is also guilty of waste, as evidenced when they passed the largely wasteful Inflation Reduction Act in 2022.
What about the allegations of corruption and kickbacks within USAID? Why are Democrats not outraged that USAID’s long-term staff are worth millions of dollars even though they only earn under $200,000 a year? Could it be because some Democrats made their millions under similar circumstances? Nancy Pelosi and allegations of insider trading come to mind, as reports have it, that Pelosi’s investment outperformed nearly every hedge fund in 2024.
Could it be that the Democrats are defending USAID because of the benefits some of their family members received from the agency? Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of Bill and Hillary Clinton, raked in around $84 million from USAID in charity funds. How about Joe Biden overseeing the arm of USAID responsible for giving millions to Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company? Same Burisma where Hunter Biden, with no energy experience, raked in hundreds of thousands while serving on the company’s board. How about RINO Liz Cheney (she’s basically a Democrat these days), who worked at the USAID? As Mike Benz put it, Cheney was basically spawned out of USAID.
Finally, could the Democrats be fighting Trump on USAID because their Trump Derangement Syndrome has gotten worse? Anything Trump supports, they oppose. Who can forget how they moved from never trusting the COVID-19 vaccines when Trump was in office to firing thousands of Americans who refused the vaccines months after Biden took office?
Whatever sinister reasons the Democrats—and one preemptively pardoned RINO— may have for defending USAID, it is clear they are losing big time, but who is going to tell them?
